9.  அப்பொழுது சாப்பானுடைய குமாரனாகிய அகிக்காமின் மகன் கெதலியா அவர்களையும் அவர்கள் மனுஷரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் கல்தேயரைச் சேவிக்கப் பயப்படவேண்டாம், நீங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து பாபிலோன் ராஜாவைச் சேவியுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்.

9.  And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
