6.  நீ ஷிபோலேத் என்று சொல் என்பார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அப்படி உச்சரிக்கக் கூடாமல், சிபோலேத் என்பான்; அப்பொழுது அவனைப் பிடித்து, யோர்தான் துறையிலே வெட்டிப்போடுவார்கள்; அக்காலத்திலே எப்பிராயீமில் நாற்பத்தீராயிரம்பேர் விழுந்தார்கள்.

6.  Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
