ஆகையால் நான் களிப்பைப் புகழ்ந்தேன்; புசிப்பதும் குடிப்பதும் மகிழ்வதுமேயல்லாமல் சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே மனுஷனுக்கு வேறொரு நன்மையும் இல்லை; சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தந்த ஜீவகாலத்தில் அவன் பிரயாசத்தினால் அவனுக்கு நிலைக்கும் பலன் இதுவே.
Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
