1 கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர் அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

1 O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

2 கர்த்தரால் சத்துருவின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி மீட்கப்பட்டு,

2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

3 கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலுமுள்ள பல தேசங்களிலுமிருந்து சேர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள், அப்படிச் சொல்லக்கடவர்கள்.

3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.

4 அவர்கள் தாபரிக்கும் ஊரைக் காணாமல், வனாந்தரத்திலே அவாந்தர வழியாய்,

4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

5 பசியாகவும், தாகமாகவும், ஆத்துமா தொய்ந்ததாகவும் அலைந்து திரிந்தார்கள்.

5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.

6 தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை விடுவித்தார்.

6 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

7 தாபரிக்கும் ஊருக்குப்போய்ச்சேர, அவர்களைச் செவ்வையான வழியிலே நடத்தினார்.

7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.

8 தவனமுள்ள ஆத்துமாவைக் கர்த்தர் திருப்தியாக்கி, பசியுள்ள ஆத்துமாவை நன்மையினால் நிரப்புகிறாரென்று,

8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

9 அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

10 தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, உன்னதமானவருடைய ஆலோசனையை அசட்டைபண்ணினவர்கள்,

10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;

11 அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரண இருளிலும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்து, ஒடுக்கத்திலும் இரும்பிலும் கட்டுண்டு கிடந்தார்கள்.

11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

12 அவர்களுடைய இருதயத்தை அவர் வருத்தத்தால் தாழ்த்தினார்; சகாயரில்லாமல் விழுந்துபோனார்கள்.

12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.

13 தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே, கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளிலிருந்து அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சித்தார்.

13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.

14 அந்தகாரத்திலும் மரணஇருளிலுமிருந்து அவர்களை வெளிப்படப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் கட்டுகளை அறுத்தார்.

14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.

15 கர்த்தர் வெண்கலக் கதவுகளை உடைத்து, இருப்புத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களை முறித்தாரென்று,

15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

16 அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்களாக.

16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.

17 நிர்மூடர் தங்கள் பாதகமார்க்கத்தாலும தங்கள் அக்கிரமங்களாலும் நோய்கொண்டு ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறார்கள்.

17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

18 அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா சகல போஜனத்தையும் அரோசிக்கிறது, அவர்கள் மரணவாசல்கள் பரியந்தம் சமீபிக்கிறார்கள்.

18 Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

19 தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சிக்கிறார்.

19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.

20 அவர் தமது வசனத்தை அனுப்பி அவர்களைக் குணமாக்கி அவர்களை அழிவுக்குத் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.

20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

21 அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும், மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

22 ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, அவருடைய கிரியைகளை ஆனந்த சத்தத்தோடே விவரிப்பார்களாக.

22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

23 கப்பலேறி கடல் யாத்திரைபண்ணி, திரளான தண்ணீர்களில் தொழில் செய்கிறார்களே.

23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;

24 அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிரியைகளையும் ஆழத்திலே அவருடைய அதிசயங்களையும் காண்கிறார்கள்.

24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

25 அவர் கட்டளையிட பெருங்காற்று எழும்பி, அதின் அலைகளைக் கொந்தளிக்கப்பண்ணும்.

25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.

26 அவர்கள் ஆகாயத்தில் ஏறி, ஆழங்களில் இறங்குகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா கிலேசத்தினால் கரைந்துபோகிறது.

26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.

27 வெறித்தவனைப்போல் அலைந்து தடுமாறுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய ஞானமெல்லாம் முழுகிப்போகிறது.

27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

28 அப்பொழுது தங்கள் ஆபத்திலே அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள், அவர்கள் இக்கட்டுகளுக்கு அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி விடுவிக்கிறார்.

28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29 கொந்தளிப்பை அமர்த்துகிறார், அதின் அலைகள் அடங்குகின்றது.

29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

30 அமைதலுண்டானதினிமித்தம அவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறார்கள்; தாங்கள் நாடின துறைமுகத்தில் அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து சேர்க்கிறார்.

30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31 அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை அவருடைய கிருபையினிமித்தமும் மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அவர் செய்கிற அதிசயங்களினிமித்தமும் துதித்து,

31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

32 ஜனங்களின் சபையிலே அவரை உயர்த்தி, மூப்பர்களின் சங்கத்திலே அவரைப் போற்றுவார்களாக.

32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

33 அவர் ஆறுகளை அவாந்தர வெளியாகவும் நீரூற்றுகளை வறண்ட ஸ்தலமாகவும்,

33 He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;

34 குடிகளுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் செழிப்பான தேசத்தை உவர்நிலமாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

35 அவர் அவாந்தரவெளியைத் தண்ணீர்த்தடாகமாகவும், வறண்டநிலத்தை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றி,

35 He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.

36 பசித்தவர்களை அங்கே குடியேற்றுகிறார்; அங்கே அவர்கள் குடியிருக்கும் நகரத்தைக் கட்டி,

36 And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;

37 வயல்களை உண்டாக்கி விதைத்து, திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களை நாட்டுகிறார்கள், அவைகள் வரத்துள்ள பலனைத் தரும்.

37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

38 அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார், மிகுதியும் பெருகுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்கள் குறையாதிருக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

38 He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39 பின்பு அவர்கள் இடுக்கத்தினாலும், ஆபத்தினாலும், துயரத்தினாலும் குறைவுபட்டுத் தாழ்வடைகிறார்கள்.

39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.

40 அவர் பிரபுக்களின்மேல் இகழ்ச்சி வரப்பண்ணி வழியில்லாத அவாந்தர வெளியிலே அவர்களைத் திரியச்செய்து,

40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.

41 எளியவனையோ சிறுமையினின்று எடுத்து, உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைத்து அவன் வம்சங்களை மந்தையைப்போலாக்குகிறார்.

41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.

42 உத்தமர்கள் அதைக்கண்டு மகிழுவார்கள், நியாயக்கேடெல்லாம் தன் வாயை மூடும்.

42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

43 எவன் ஞானமுள்ளவனோ அவன் இவைகளைக் கவனிக்கக்கடவன்; ஞானவான்கள் கர்த்தருடைய கிருபைகளை உணர்ந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.
