9.  அப்சலோம் தாவீதின் சேவகருக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டான்; அப்சலோம் கோவேறு கழுதையின்மேல் ஏறிவரும்போது, அந்தக் கோவேறு கழுதை சன்னல் பின்னலான ஒரு பெரிய கர்வாலிமரத்தின் கீழவந்ததினால், அவனுடைய தலை கர்வாலிமரத்தில் மாட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவன் வானத்துக்கும் பூமிக்கும் நடுவே தொங்கினான்; அவன் ஏறியிருந்த கோவேறு கழுதை அப்பாலே போயிற்று.

9.  And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
