18.  மந்திரவாதிகளும் தங்கள் மந்திரவித்தையினால் பேன்களைப் பிறப்பிக்கும்படிப் பிரயத்தனஞ் செய்தார்கள்; செய்தும், அவர்களால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று; பேன்கள் மனிதர் மேலும் மிருக ஜீவன்கள் மேலும் இருந்தது.

18.  And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
